Sell online with PayPal, Cash App or Venmo (no Stripe needed)

Take orders today with the payment app you already use: how direct pay works on Sellabo, how to confirm payments, and when to switch to card checkout.

When this is the right choice

Card checkout through Stripe is the smoothest way to get paid, but setting it up takes a few minutes and some ID checks. If you want to sell today, or a buyer prefers an app they already use, direct pay lets them pay you with PayPal, Cash App or Venmo instead.

Turn it on

In your dashboard, open Finance and find "Sell now: PayPal, Cash App or Venmo". Tick "Let buyers pay me directly", then add any of:

  • Your PayPal.Me name (paypal.me/yourname, or paypal.biz/yourname for business accounts)
  • Your Cash App $cashtag
  • Your Venmo username

Add a short note for buyers if you like (for example, how fast you ship) and press Save. One-time products on your store now show a Buy button that walks buyers through paying you.

What the buyer sees

The buyer enters their name and email (and a shipping address for physical products). They get a short reference code, tap PayPal, Cash App or Venmo to pay you (they type the amount if it is not filled in), put the code in the payment note, then tap "I’ve paid". You both get an email.

Confirm each payment

Open Orders. Under "Direct payments to confirm", each claim shows the amount, the app and the reference. Find the matching payment in your PayPal, Cash App or Venmo, then press "I got it: confirm". That records the order, lowers stock, and emails the buyer. Digital products unlock from a one-time link in that email. If you cannot find the payment, press "Not received" and the buyer is asked to send proof.

Fees and refunds

Sellabo takes no fee on direct payments: the money goes straight from the buyer to you. The payment app may charge its own fees (for example on business or goods-and-services payments), so check its current pricing. Refunds happen in the same app you were paid in.

Moving to card checkout

When you are ready, connect Stripe on the Finance page. Card checkout then takes over automatically for every product, with instant access for digital products, automatic order emails, and card, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
