Pick Sellabo if…

  • Your money never passes through us. Card payments go straight to your own Stripe account and pay out on Stripe’s schedule. Sellabo adds no payout fee of its own and has no balance to hold or delay. On Whop, payments run through Whop, and next-day payouts cost $2.50 each (instant deposits 4% + $2.50).
  • You sell more than digital access: physical products with sizes, stock and shipping, services with the buyer’s brief, downloads and memberships, together in one store.
  • Your own store: your design, extra pages, a blog, reviews and a goal bar, with every buyer’s email in your dashboard.
  • Clip bounties, affiliates, promo codes, upsells, tips and email are built in, plus Sellabo AI that reads your sales and searches the web. Nothing to install.
  • A lower fee while you test: 2.2% for 6 months once we confirm your Whop store, plus free product import. Keep Whop open the whole time.

On card fees alone, no. Whop’s fee page lists 2.7% + 30¢ per domestic card sale, plus 10¢ for fraud screening and 3D Secure, and no separate platform fee (read October 28, 2026). Sellabo’s 2.9% is charged on top of Stripe’s 2.9% + 30¢ (2.2% for 6 months if you switch). If your Whop account still pays a platform fee, type it into the calculator and compare. The reasons to move are where the money lands, what you can sell, and the store you own.

Can I move from Whop to Sellabo?

Add your products on Sellabo (products, discount codes, files and page copy import free from an export file; the Whop key import is still in beta, so check the preview before you run it), then update your links. Moving sellers can also ask for the switch offer: Sellabo’s fee 0.7 percentage points lower (2.9% to 2.2%) for 6 months once we confirm their old store.

When is Whop the better choice?

You want the lowest published card rate: Whop lists 2.7% + 30¢ per card sale and no separate platform fee, while Sellabo’s fee comes on top of Stripe’s card rate. Your buyers find you through Whop’s marketplace, or your community already lives in Whop’s chat and apps. You want Whop to take the payment and pay you out, so you never set up a Stripe account.

Does Sellabo handle sales tax or VAT?

Sellabo is not a merchant of record: you are the seller, and the money lands in your own Stripe account. Turn on Stripe Tax in your Stripe account and Taxes in your Sellabo dashboard, and Stripe works out and adds sales tax or VAT at checkout where you are registered. Registering and filing stay with you. If you want another company to be legally responsible for tax, a merchant of record such as Lemon Squeezy or Paddle fits better, at a higher fee.
